We can’t call it off, especially at Christmas.
Only one thing to do; we’ll have to ad-lib this!

Remember that feeling of having a present under the tree but not knowing what was inside?
Will it be a PlayStation?
Will it be an iPhone?
Or will it be socks?

A mixed assortment of 6 improvisers (some naughty, some nice) led by Ross McLeod unwrap a series of surprise scenes with a festive season spin. Classic tales reimagined, exotic vacation spots explored, beloved carols remixed, and all created on the fly by the performers.

Guy Williams “Some places in the central North Island and most of the South Island” Tour 2019

Billy T Award-Winning Comedian Guy Williams is Back! Some of you might not have even noticed that he was gone, or even realised that he was here in the first place, that doesn’t matter… he’s back!

The star of the critically acclaimed “New Zealand Today” TV show (and only on-screen member of the show) is taking a short break from his busy schedule of arguing with people on the internet to make his self described “triumphant” return to touring. Striking while the iron is hot and most of his major competitors are taking a break from stand-up in the wake of sexual assault allegations.

“This year I want to do a political show (here’s the catch) that doesn’t suck. I know that sounds impossible, and I can’t promise that I will achieve this amazing goal, but I’ll give it a good shake because we’ve all got to do something to fill in the time before we die.” – Guy

“A great hour of comedy” – TheSpinoff.co.nz

“Bloody funny” – Radio New Zealand

“Almost as bad as Reece Darbie and Flight of the Concords (sic).” – Kiwilad, Stuff.co.nz comments section.

Tickets:
Tickets available from Eventfinda unless listed otherwise.

Ticket prices are “Pay what you can” ranging from $10 – $43. (May include fees)

You don’t have to print your tickets just show them on your phone.

Recommended R15 – Adult language and themes. Under 18 year olds must be accompanied by a parent or legal caregiver while attending show.

See Jeremy Corbett, Dai Henwood and Paul Ego unleashed, without the cameras, editors or censors to hold them back. See Ben Hurley, Josh Thomson, Jeremy Elwood and Justine Smith right in front of your eyes. Just New Zealand’s best comedians each smashing out a quick-fire burst of stand-up comedy, before getting into a game of 7 Days in your town, and about your town.
As Jeremy Corbett says “If you only see one show this year, well, it’s obviously got to be Les Miserables, but if you can see two, then maybe catch School of Rock too. But also don’t miss out on 7 Days Live – The 10th Birthday Tour! We’re bringing it to you, and we’ll make sure it’s a night you won’t forget.”

Soft N Hard is a complex, challenging and riotously funny exploration of the tensions and imbalances between male and female gender roles in a modern world.

Husband and wife performers Jo Randerson and Thomas LaHood use their finely-tuned clowning skills and the authentic awkwardness and vulnerability of their own relationship to bring a relatable and indelibly comic touch to the topical and curly questions raised in the #metoo era of gender politics.

The show erupts onto the stage with a high-impact, visually arresting and absurd opening sequence, followed by a relentless and largely non-verbal clown performance of traditional domestic, cinematic (and toxic) gender tropes, and finally dissolves completely into a fast-paced, meta-theatrical and courageous dialogue between the performers that gets into the nitty-gritty of modern ideas like mansplaining and emotional labour.

Following two SOLD OUT seasons in Wellington, and having travelled to Southland and Auckland in 2018 this is an exciting new creation from a celebrated company.

Who is Douglas? Well, apparently, Gadsby thinks he is the only one who can help her follow up on the trail blazed by her last show: Nanette.

Hannah Gadsby’s tenth solo show was Nanette. It did alright.

Nanette played around Australia and the UK for eighteen months, taking out the top prizes at the Melbourne and Edinburgh festivals before sitting down in New York in Spring 2018 and dropping a Netflix special that summer that won her a Peabody Award and started a global conversation that continues today.

While Nanette was a random barista, Douglas is a very specific dog, and the only thing they have in common is they’ve inspired Hannah to put pen to paper and turn out a show you couldn’t possibly expect. Hannah found her voice with Nanette and with Douglas she plans to use it. The stand-up stage has been Hannah’s home for more than a decade, and the last couple of years have given her a few very new ideas to think and talk about in her brand new show.

Frontier Comedy is thrilled to announce a huge joint tour for prolific comedians, content creators and BFFs Christian Hull & Tanya Hennessy! The adorable duo are joining forces to perform live on stage together in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Hobart, Auckland, Brisbane and Sydney through September and into October.

Following their four sold-out warm-up shows, Hull & Hennessy are asking you to lower your expectations and enjoy an hour of silliness, salacious stories and life advice from the beloved comedians. Their trial shows sold-out almost immediately; tickets are not expected to last long this time around either!

2.3 million combined social media followers.
23 million combined views on YouTube.
715 million combined views on Facebook

In his long-term role as National Digital Video Producer, Christian created hours of hilarious content for the national Carrie & Tommy Show. Working closely with The Project’s Carrie Bickmore and comedian Tommy Little, Christian’s talent was so apparent that he ended up as much a regular in front of the camera as he was in the editing room and was given the honour of high-powered duties like interviewing Hollywood heavyweight Will Smith.

But it was the videos he would shoot at home after work at a prolific and consistent rate of a few a week, with hilarious characters including his hugely popular alter-ego ‘Trish’, that quickly earned Christian his loyal online following. From here Christian started his own Complete Drivel podcast – a chart-topping iTunes mainstay which he began performing as a live show to big theatres and comedy clubs in 2018 to 100% sold out houses – with 7889 of a possible 7890 tickets sold across 8 cities.

If Amy Schumer and Rebel Wilson had a love child, you’d get Tanya Hennessy. The best-selling author, columnist, national broadcaster and TV presenter was working in Queensland as a breakfast radio presenter when she started making hilarious clips in her down-time. Her engaging and relatable take on life have since seen her earn over 600 million views on Facebook and a loyal following of 1.5 million across social media.

The award-winning breakfast radio host has twice taken out gongs at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRAs), including the prestigious Best Entertainment Presenter last year. Tanya is no stranger to households across the country with her regular appearances on The Project, The Morning Show, Studio Ten, Bachelor Unpacked, and The Loop for Ten Peach. She will also be appearing on Celebrity Name Game later next month.

Tanya’s book, Am I Doing this Right? has earnt her the title of best-selling author and she’s now in the process of writing her second book with Allen & Unwin. She’s also a regular columnist for Ten Daily and is currently the co-host on Weekend National Breakfast with the Hit Network. The RUOK? Day ambassador and Cosmo Woman Of The Year nominee is a multi-talented, multi-media star in every sense of the word.

Join the two prolific comedians, creators, bosom buddies and internet darlings as they hit live stages across Australia and in Auckland, New Zealand in a fun-filled, unique and eccentric joint show not to be missed. Join the Frontier Members Pre-sale on Thursday 13 June for access to tickets ahead of the general public on-sale on Friday 14 June (1pm local time).
